Finally the sunshine is out and there is not a cloud in the sky today. According to the Seattle Weather Service “The number of days so far this year in Seattle with less than 50 percent cloud cover sunrise to sunset…2 ( January 3rd and January 14th )”.
Love Friday’s when we can hit the slopes
Dylan and Alex at Stevens Pass.
Tia and The Cedar Park Eagles played against the Overlake Owls. These girls didn’t quit as the Owls were a well oiled machine. Tia and her teammates played hard but unfortunately couldn’t catch the owls.

Dylan and his 6th grade class performed a play today called The Old Testament in 20 Minutes. Each child had different parts that they played as the play progressed.
Dylan knew his lies, spoke clearly and loud enough for everyone to hear him. He and his classmates did a excellent job!
Dylan was Jacob and his friend Joey was Esau at this point in the play.

And it is all done! Great job to Dylan and his classmates
Both Tia and Dylan had basketball games at the same time this weekend. With Alayne being gone in Montana we thankfully had Momo visiting from Idaho. I normally am on the bench helping coach but was able to watch from the stands this weekend and take some pics. Dylan’s team lost but it was a hard fought game.

The kids switch every 5 minutes so each kid gets equal playing time. They then match up so they know who to defend.
We finally got the great snow we’ve been hoping for at Stevens Pass. Two weekends ago they actually closed the Ski area because of freezing rain and ice. Last weekend it was as a the ski area called it a “Northwest mix” which means rain. And this past Friday it was 28 degrees and snowing with about 5 fresh new inches.
The kids in their ski school class with Dave. 4th year in a row we’ve had Dave. The kids have so much fun skiing with Dave.

The day has arrived- for Christmas Uncle Peter got Dylan a series of Funko Pops and the box was delivered today. You might be wondering what is a Funko Pop- click here to find out– basically, Funko is a fun pop culture figurine store. It is becoming quite the phenomenon and is headquartered up the road in Everett.
So we recorded Dylan opening it while he was facetiming with his best friend Joey. You can hear Joey’s voice in the background.
To watch his unboxing- click here and it will take you to Youtube where we have the video

Dylan and Alex went up to ski today at Stevens Pass for our Friday Ski day. Stevens had received over 19 inches of snow the last few days but overnight the freezing level rose and it became a wet day with some good ole fashioned Pacific Northwest Concrete aka wet snow or as they call it “mixed precipitation”
We still had fun and Dylan continues to progress as a great skier. Sorry too wet to get action shots.
Wet and cold but still fun.
Who doesn’t like a nice warm basket of fries to end a day.
